faux summer

for those of you living outside california these days….sorry but we’re soaking in the sun while you bundle up. while these days have me reconsidering my big move in a few months i can’t help but strut my stuff in my favorite area of San Francisco…the Marina. one of the most picturesque areas of my beautiful city. as i walk up and down Chestnut Street stopping for margs at Tacolicious i can’t help but fall in love with my city all over again. the side streets are what gets me. some of the most amazing homes that should be featured in every magazine exist in this area. anything from a cute little two-story bungalow to mansions made of brick from top to bottom…my inner love for architecture and design swoons over these homes. _DSC0445

being able to stroll the streets in just a simple blazer during what is supposed to be one of the coldest months in the bay area is truly amazing. here i showcase some skinnies with a white peplum, colorful blazer, and some sick lace-up heels…oh and my baby louis_DSC0489

try pairing some dark skinnies with a pop of color and some heels…you’re bound to look fabulous either way!

welcome to my world

ever since i can remember, i have always had a passion for fashion and design. it started from the holy grail, my mother. she is a woman of great style. as long as i can recall she always had the latest and greatest prada shoes, bags, coats, etc. i lived in her closet when i was a little girl and since she worked for some pretty awesome clothing companies, i was always dressed to impress. growing up, hitting every branch of the trend tree from bike shorts & high tops, saltwater sandals, jellies, and platform sneakers (steve madden or cathy jean, duh) i have come to where i am now which is a mix of classic & preppy with a little bit of an edge and a touch of boho. my favorite color is black, i know i know, black isn’t a color but in my world, it runs everything. i incorporate black into almost every outfit pairing (except when i’m feeling really colorful which is rare) and my passion for interior design. some may say that black is depressing, however i believe it is a classic color throughout all fashion. coco chanel, saint laurent, & prada have always had classic flat black in every line. my daily wardrobe can consist from anything i find at nordstrom, bloomingdales, neiman marcus, saks, h&m, jcrew, lulu lemon, zara etc. i consider myself to be a conscious shopper on most days, however i do like to indulge a little here and there.

welcome to my world, i can’t wait to share more of my passions with you!

xoxo,

n.
